Getting Started with Huna
Huna is a living tradition that has adapted to the changing cultures that it has encountered. It started in the Tantric Traditions of India, where it travelled to many corners of the earth. One direction was towards Polynesia.
It was in Hawaii that Max Freedom Long’s research led him to decode the secrets behind miracles performed by priests and healers. He named these practices Huna when he brought this inner science back to the United States. Today’s Huna is a scion of the old Ho`omana technology of Hawaii and Western’s New Thought technologies.
Further research of Huna technology led other seekers to contribute additional Lores.
Kahuna Lani, one of Kahuna Max’s few personal students, accepted the responsibility to continue the legacy of building the Huna Heiau. It offers both prayer practices and guidance for improving the quality of one’s life.
