                                    Huna Meditation Sessions

Picture
Huna Heiau Canada has just started to teach Huna Meditation Sessions at Mindful Meridians in Cobourg Ontario.

We are excited at HHC to bring this opportunity to people. The Huna Meditations Series is the Huna Foundations course turned into a weekly teaching series. This course is designed to give people a direct experience of their own deeper nature including their subconscious, conscious mind, and superconsciousness.

The outcome of this course is to learn a process that will bring the three selves into harmony, it is when the human being is in a state of disharmony that psychological and physiological suffering happens. As we learn to become more aware of our inner nature, and bring about a stable sense of internal harmony our sufferings decrease.

We just started teaching at Mindful Meridians in Cobourg where we did the first session focused on giving people the direct experience with their own subconscious.

We did a morning session where we taught people Huna psychology of the subconscious, pendulum work, breath work, chanting and a meditative process. We did this several times to deepen the impact it has on people. We finished off with a group healing session. Everyone was feeling very blissful near the end of it. We look forward to doing more training in the coming weeks.

If you are interested in learning this powerful transformational process for yourself more information can be found here: https://www.hunaheiaucanada.com/learn-huna.html

                              Makahiki: Firewalk and 'Awa

It is that time of year again when all Hunian's are getting ready for Makahiki (Hunian New Year) to mark the Spring equinox. This is a time of year when we have reflected on the past year, and are getting ready to make our intentions for the future. I have found an article explaining this celebration from my lineage

                                                         Awa and the Firewalk
                                                               by Kahuna Lani

What do we really know about this life? Why do we, or why does anything at all exist? Is there a purpose to all this? Is there a God of some sort? Is anything out there?
If so, then is it aware? Is it aware of you? Does it accept you, embrace you, or reject you? What do you really know?

There is a religious sacrament, a plant that seeks to be your friend in this question. Unlike the western recreational drugs, it doesn’t give you a buzz or make you high or even try to take you over.

When you take it, it removes pain from your body. Then it brings you closer to God (Io), however you conceive of it. Because of that, you feel safe and somehow centered. Because of that, you are made friendly. It is for that reason that is also became the ceremonial sacrament used in peace conferences between warring parties, etc.

In the meantime, it doesn’t dull the mind, it enhances it.
The religious sacrament is called `awa and has been used in the religious services of the people of Polynesia for over 3,000 years without harm to any sensible person who uses it. And then what?
Then there is the Firewalk.

You enter the firepit of the fire made sentient by the chants of the Kahuna i Ke Umu Ki. Then the fire looks into the heart of each person. It judges them, no one can cross the sentient fire without supernatural help. Fire burns, and the firepit is rapt with fire and heat and flames.

Almost everyone who walks under those conditions makes it across the path of fire without harm.

For many, although not all, it forms one of the most important turning points in their life. It is one of the only true points in their life where they found out something which changed their lives. There is something out there, some people call it God, we call it Io, but it doesn’t need to be called anything, really.
And then, they know, really know, without belief or faith needed, that they are accepted.`awa.

Once each year the Huna Heiau Canada gathers together at the Celebration of Makahiki, Huna Heiau Canada's New Year, on or about the day of the Vernal Equinox. The Dawn Greeting Ceremony is done. Then later, they gather to share the religious sacrament, `awa in formal ceremony. After that, the Kahuna i Ke Umu Ki, the priests of the sentient fire, chant into the fire of the firepit. And the haumana of Huna walk across the heat of the firepit. After that, those who desire to, take the vows once again to be a Hunian for another year.

How can Huna Heiau Canada (HHC) Help You?

Picture
HHC was just at the Meta Expo 2024 in Toronto ON, where we met many wonderful people. Many people loved the discussions and work we did, but one central question started to emerge being how can HHC or Huna help?

This is a very big question that I will attempt to summarize. HHC can help people of any Faithwalk in two main ways through our services or teachings. Our services consist mainly of Healing Lores and Warrior Lores.

     SERVICES

Healing Lores
  • Aumakua Therapy (High Self therapy) designed for bringing about divine guidance and mana loa       (Divine energy) to support your well-being.
  • Kalo (Tarot) Readings designed to deliver messages from your Aumakua (superconsciousness) to aid in clarity regarding life's many directions or issues.
  • Individual or Group Prayer support designed to increase mana (energy) for enhancing the power behind achieving desired goals such as wealth/ health etc.
  • Psychometric Analysis designed to evaluate the state of your Aunihipili (subconscious), Auhane (conscious mind) and Aumakua (superconsciousness). This is a tool we use to check to see if there is a blockage, spiritual interference etc. It is a diagnostic tool to examine your psychic hygiene and offer solutions on how to address challenges that might be affecting your growth.
  • Huna Adjustment is designed to bring balance to the energy system by bringing the three selves back into harmony. Daily life can cause us to be emotionally, physically, and energetically pushed out of harmony causing many problems. In Huna we believe in a whole system approach meaning that once the three selves are brought back into harmony the system naturally corrects and you feel an increased sense of well-being.
Warrior Lores
  • Na Kala (House Sanctification) is designed to consecrate a physical space to bring back a sense of calmness and peace in one’s environment. Sometimes for a variety of reasons such as negative energy, spiritual entities etc a space can become congested or heavy. This is a powerful process for bringing back that positive reveberance within a physical space.
  • Huna Adjustment is a powerful process for removing any spiritual interference that a person might be experiencing. In addition, with this transformational process you will be given guidance on how you can keep that inner sense of well-being and cultivate it yourself once experienced.
All of these services can be found by clicking here.

                                                                                                TEACHINGS

In HHC we have a variety of different trainings, both online and in-person, that allow you to learn Huna. We openly teach Huna in its pure form from our direct unbroken lineage connected back through to the Founder Max Freedom Long since 1872. We offer skill sets that support any Faithwalk, or offer deeper teachings for people drawn to Huna.
  • Huna Foundations In-person training is designed to, over a weekend, teach people the inner science of well-being of Huna through direct experience. We will walk people through a powerful transformational process of breathing techniques, pendulum work, chanting, and meditations designed to transform and enhance one’s inner- well-being resulting in increased peace, joy, and pleasantness. We have an upcoming seminar in Durham Region May 11/12 2024 for more information click here.

The only difference is you do it on your own time. More information can be found by clicking here.
  • Mysteries of the Huna Tarot (Kalo) is an online course designed to teach people the power of using Tarot Cards. Kalo in Huna was a system designed to increase mental acuity/ memory and allow for a person to communicate directly with their Aumakua (superconsciousness). It was created by the founder over four generations ago and is still preserved and taught to people. For more information click here.
  • Prayers Not Working is an online course that is designed to teach people of all Faithwalks the mechanics of getting better results at prayers. In Huna it isn’t about who you pray to, but learning how to pray. We offer a specific inner technology or process through breathing, visualizations, and consecration that enhance the prayers for anyone of any background or belief. More information can be found here.
  • 7 Secrets of Successful Relationships is an online course dedicated to helping people enhance their relationships with people around them. In Huna it is taught that we cannot always control what happens around us, but we can always control the way we internally respond. In order to support harmony within ourselves this course teaches a powerful purification process for how to maintain harmony within yourself and other relationships. More information can be found here.

I hope this article helps to clarify what HHC can do in order to support you on your Faithwalk. Our mission, either indirectly or directly, is to learn to live a hurtles and helpful life to all.

In deepest Aloha (interconnectedness),

Jeremy

                   Dedication to Your Path

Huna teaches that there are many ways to reach the pinnacle of your own personal development in whatever direction you chose. One Kahuna (priest) of Huna wrote about an analogy that symbolizes this point very well.

Imagine that the pinnacle of your development is a mountain. Your life, and many reincarnations, is meant to continually find your Path to the summit of the mountain. Some people fall more than others, or climb faster than others. Eventually, we all make it to the summit.
During this climb we encounter many Paths, or directions that bring us to this summit. Huna teaches that each person must find their own way in their lives, while polishing their soul with learning the lessons they need to learn.

The only way that a person reaches the summit is by taking conscious control and dedicating yourself to your own development. The longer you are consciously choosing to make your own path the more lessons you will learn. From doing this the outcome is that you make it to the summit quicker than others.
So, the vital point to remember is that the main point of your life is the development of the three selves, and their internal communication. In doing so one vital lesson that every person will learn is the dedication to be of service to people. This is symbolized by the Huna Heiau Canada mantra “living a hurtless and helpful life”

One quickly learns that being dedicated to serving others in any capacity you are capable of very quickly accelerating your soul’s progression.

                                                      What is Huna?

Now you may be wondering what some of the basic of Huna are?

The one fundamental belief that we have is that each human is comprised of three selves. These three selves have been called different things over the years by different traditions.
Currently, in Western Psychology there is a general acceptance of the unconscious, and the conscious mind.

At the core of Huna, is the understanding that there are three distinct selves or levels of consciousness.

When Max Freedom Long (founder of Huna) introduced the concept of the three selves in his newsletters and books, he used English rather than Hawaiian. He came to regret that decision. At the Huna Heiau Canada, we use the Hawaiian terms.

Kahuna Max referred to the youngest, as the Low Self, the sub-conscious. It is responsible for our physical bodies, emotions, and memories. We call it the aunihipili (ow-nee-hee-PEE-lee)

The self that thinks, plans and analyzes – the conscious mind, Kahuna Max called the Middle Self. It’s older and more evolved than the Low Self. This is the auhane (ow-HAH-neh)

The oldest, the High Self, our Divine Nature, acts much like a guardian angel. It is the most evolved of the three, and is responsible for answering our prayers and more. It doesn’t live inside our bodies, but in the Realm of Light. We call this the Aumakua (ow-mah-KOO-ah)

Just as we can develop harmony in our relationships, our three selves can achieve inner harmony.

A good way to view the relationship between the three selves would be as three specialized people working together to achieve the same goal. In order to get everyone on the same page you need constant communication between these three people, or selves, to make sure everyone is working together and not against each other.

This diagram represents the three selves and the connecting paths of communication between them.
